Since I was a small girl I have heard from God by way of dreams and visions. Sometimes through those dreams and visions I receive warnings, sometimes I gain wisdom and sometimes I get guidance. But no matter what He shows me or tells me the message is quite clear and I have learned over the years to heed them quickly.
One night I had one of those "God dreams". You know the ones that are in color and vivid, where details are magnified and meanings are driven staight into your spirit. At the time I had this dream I was blessed to have a door open for me to be a prayer warrior at a local radio station. We took live calls and prayed for the needs that were presented to us. From the moment I was given that opportunity I knew that the radio ministry was the start to a major part in my life.
So back to the dream. I dreamt that I was at the radio station and it had been transformed into a M.A.S.H. unit. There were two parts to the unit; the front part was where I was and the back part was where the station owner was. We were separated by a hospital curtian, a veil of sorts. Although I could not see behind the veil, I knew that it housed the sick and the wounded. I also knew that in this room were instuments of healing; everywhere! These instruments were things like, I.V. bags, tunicates, medicines and ect. I was standing in the front part of the station at a dining room table that was full of prepared food. I looked at the food and saw that it was also an instrument of healing and it was my job to provided it to the sick and wounded. I took the food and arranged it piece by piece until it formed a keyboard. I placed my hand on the keyboard and began to play beautiful music. I was playing very familiar songs but I was somehow given the ability to enhance the song. The melody was flowing out of this food everythime I placed my hands to it and I knew that this was ot of my own accord, but divine. As I played the music, the owner of the radio station would come out, take the food and disapear behind the veil. She was taking it to the sick and wounded and they were recovering. As soon as the bed would empty, another wounded would come and fill it back up again. She remained faithful and steady to her call of duty.
When I awoke from the dream I quickly began to pray and ask for Gods complete interpretation. For one thing; I DO NOT play the keyboard and I was unsure of the meaning of the way I was gifted to take a regular note and add an ornamentation to the music. So I called who I normally call when I have a question; my Mother. She explained to me that in music there is what is called a "grace note". A "grace note" is an extra bit of flourish by the composer and or player. Often times called an "ornament". A "Grace Note" is indicated by a slash through the note stem and is left to the discretion of the player or composer as to how it will be played. This is how a player can add their own character or style of music to an old famiiar piece without changeing the musics orignal structure.
In the dream the kitchen table was my actual kitchen table where in real life I sat every day for 4-6 hours a day studying Gods word. I took that word, without changing its original structure and I enhanced it with my personality. Not enhance by way of worth but enhance by way of intensity and magnification. God does that when we yeild our personalities to Him. He used Moses speach impediment, he used Pauls fervent zeal, he used Peters impetuousness. He takes our passions and personal experiences and He magnifies and intensifies His word with them. And that word is like notes on a score of music and those notes intensified and magnified become our "Grace Notes".
My dream was prophetic to the radio mnistry that was later opend to me to come and teach. Not long after the dream the owner of the station approached me to partner up with her to minister sound teaching to the sick and the wounded. She, to this day remains faithful to her call of duty. Her name is Earlene Lund and she is a precious woman of God.
Thank you Earlene for giving me the opportunity to reach the mulitudes. And I would also like to thank her daughter and my friend Machelle Vallance (the station manager) who keeps things running so smoothly and efficiantly that the for over 25 years, W.A.P.N. remains to this day to be an effective M.A.S.H. unit in its community.
So to answer the question; What's in a name? More than you'll ever know!
